Cheap Furniture
These pieces of cheap furniture are made of "waste" woods (woods that was used as boxes and containers). They are made and sold at the corner of Jalan Tamansari and Jalan Gelap Nyawang near the ITB (Bandung Institute of Technology) campus. Students coming from outside the city like to buy them for their apartments not only because they are a lot cheaper than the ones sold in the furniture shops, but also because they can be made to order. Being cheap, they can also be left or given away when the students finish their studies and leave the city.
Although they are cheap and made of waste woods, I think they actually look quite good and are of decent quality. I still have a book shelf that I bought from this place a long time ago.

Hello Eki...This is a great idea and I too think the furniture looks very nice. I love handmade things anyway. Hope all is well with you and your family... Michelle
We need a new desk . . . .
I also like the fact that they are recycling wood!
Wonderful I think. Cheap and good enough. Recycling has so much added value.
I think its a good idea to turn "old" and others say useless wood ang turn it into something useful and even pretty.
The furniture looks really nice.
Just my style, recycled and inexpensive.
Yes, recycling woods can be very useful nowadays, because we should minimize the use of woods from our forest. I also bought one of those furnitures for my computer.
They did a great job with the furniture, you wouldn't be able to tell where the wood came from.
