Creativity on The Steet

CREATIVITY ON THE STREET

Text and picture by Eki Qushay Akhwan

I believe this is what's called "installation art". These rounded-edge geometric shapes were erected (or installed) temporarily on Diponegoro Street in Bandung a couple of weeks ago as part of the 2008 HELAR Fest.

Just a note to my friends and readers:
I'll be very busy this week. So basically I will temporarily set this blog on an "automatic pilot" mode. ;) I'll still be posting one photo a day as I am supposed to do with this Daily Photo blog, but most probably with shorter commentaries. Thank you very much for your visits and comments. I'll be returning your visits soon.

J'aurai plaisir à vous retrouver dès que vous aurez le temps. J'aime bien la photo de l'installation artistique dans la rue et j'ai beaucoup apprécié le "marché surprise" dont vous avez parlé hier !

Revenez vite !

Good geometric shapes. you can see those shapes on "distro" clothes. Simple, have minimalist styles and energetic. That's a nice picture... really...

That's pretty! I haven't ever seen such kind of creativity no where. It looks like modern arts. Have you ever seen Modern Art Museum of London? I just saw its photos.

nice capture eki! it actually evokes disco feel to me. i know its strange but that was what came to me the moment i saw your post.

I know what you mean about being too busy, and on being on autopilot. I wish i can do that too but I still haven't had the opportunity to shoot new photos. i hope i still have something left from my old files for the next few days.

I would have fun walking through them all! :o)

Thanks for visiting my blog. Walla Walla is a Native American term meaning "Many Waters." And now you know! Hope to see you back again sometime.

Fun! So they closed the street from traffic first?

Hope your busy-ness doesn't come with a lot of stress! See you when you get back. ;)

The photo is fun, Eki.

I especially like the human adding height and depth.

As one of your readers wrote, the squares look like fun and if I were a kid I would walk through it rather than run because of my advanced age.

Ahem!

P.S. Enjoy your time off.
