Mihrab of The Al Ukhuwah



This is the mihrab of the Al Ukhuwah Mosque whose chandelier I posted yesterday. As you can see in this picture, this mosque has wooden floor and light-structure roof.

Magnificent! I actually like the wooden floor — makes it look warmer and more inviting than if it were marble.

Light structure roof is so unexpected roof for the mosque. Dark wood floors look great.

Wooden floor seems so "warm" !
With the minimum of decoration, to make people keep to the essential. So different from catholic churches.
